About Our Churches

Bethany and East Lemonweir Lutheran Churches are two distinctly different congregations who work on the mission of Christ in the world both together and individually.

Both congregations care deeply for the world God made and our local communities. Some of the many things we support throughout the year include:

• Health Kits
• Clothing Drives
• World Hunger Relief Campaigns
• Thanksgiving Baskets
• Bible Camp
• Spring Salad Luncheons at Bethany
• Fall Luncheon, Bake Sale and more at East Lemonweir
• Quilting Ministry
• Weekly Bible Study

We also enjoy many things for fun and community! Some of the fun things we do are:

• Wa Du Shudda Days Ice Cream and Pie Stand
• Fellowship after Worship at both churches (no coffee at East Lemonweir in June, July and August)
• Christmas Decorating at Riverside Park
• Bingo and Ice Cream Sundae Sundays
• Prime Rib Dinners
• Lenten Soup Suppers

Our children are one of our greatest joys in our churches and we have children’s messages at each service and also send our young adults to the ELCA National Gathering.
